About Treker
A calm place for a very human habit
Treker is a small, independent project with one job: turn a savings goal into a sheet of paper you actually want to look at.
Why this exists
Most budgeting tools want your bank account, your email, and permission to send a notification every time you open the app. A savings tracker needs none of that. It needs a goal, a number, and a place to mark progress.
Treker started as a printable sheet for a holiday fund. The sheet worked better than any app: it sat on the fridge, it was easy to explain to a child, and nobody had to log in. The site is that idea, available in six languages.
How the trackers work
Every template turns one amount into a grid of smaller ones. A 100-envelope sheet splits the goal into one hundred cells; a 52-week sheet builds it from small weekly steps; a row tracker makes each row add up to a round number.
The math is checked before anything is printed, so the cells always add up to exactly your goal. You choose the amount, currency, palette, and background. The preview is the real A4 layout.
Why it is free
Treker has no accounts, no subscriptions, and no paid tier waiting at the end. Small ads on the catalog, in the journal, and in the editor pay for the server and the domain. They never appear in the PDF.
We would rather keep it simple than invent a reason to charge. If ads ever stop covering the costs, we will say so openly instead of hiding the site behind a paywall.
What we count
We count anonymous visits, editor openings, and PDF downloads so we know which templates are useful. The visitor identifier is a one-way hash of the IP address and browser string. The raw IP is not stored, and no analytics cookie is set.
Your goal name, amounts, and notes stay in your browser and are never sent to our server. Advertising cookies load only after you agree to them, and the editor works without that consent.
Languages and paper
The site and the PDFs are available in Russian, English, Spanish, German, French, and Brazilian Portuguese. Each version has its own number and date formats and its own phrasing, not a literal translation of the English.
Every template is built for A4 at 210 × 297 mm. We do not offer US Letter: mixing paper sizes is the quickest way to ruin the margins.
What comes next
More tracker shapes, clearer printing guidance, and a few practical notes in the journal. No accounts, no cloud, no social feed. If a new feature makes the sheet harder to use, it does not belong here.
